Black Friday Student Deals (2021)
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday started in the US, and sees retailers cut prices on a load of items the day after Thanksgiving. But in recent years, the UK has well and truly welcomed Black Friday. Black Friday is becoming a key date in the retail calendar.
When is Black Friday?
This year Black Friday falls on the 26th of November 2021.
Unfortunately, this year we won’t be able to see shops open during the new restrictions in England but we will expect to see retailers competing online to bring shoppers the very best deals on everything from big-budget electrical items and beauty gift sets, to kitchen equipment, clothes and even toys.
Our Black Friday Student Deals Shopping tips:
1. Set a shopping budget:
One of the most important things to do on Black Friday is to have a budget and stick to it.
You can either set a spending limit for the day, or set a price range for the different items you’d like to purchase, but it’s important not to deviate from your budget!
Don’t get yourself in financial trouble and remember to make your money last for the rest of the month
2. Wake up early to grab the best deals
Starting your shopping early is the best way to get the biggest discounts on Black Friday.
This year due to the pandemic, try and stay at home to avoid crowds and set yourself up on your laptop or mobile and start to shop online.
Normally the best deals sell out really fast, so be sure to be in there first to avoid disappointment.
In previous years you would have expected long queues outside major retailers. This year we hope everyone will follow the rules and stay safe whilst shopping!
3. Have your shopping list already ready
It’s not always easy to predict what will be on offer but having a rough idea of what you’d like will make it much easier to shop.
There will be loads of deals on Black Friday, so be careful of falling into temptation and wasting money.
4. Research deals
Many shops and websites will be offering the same products, so how do you know where to find the cheapest items?
Before the 26th of November, research the stores you’re interested in and see if there are any hints on what sort of discounts you’ll be able to find.
5. Use your student card
You’d be surprised that some shops will accept student discounts on Black Friday, even on discounted items – this a great way to save a lot of money.
If you’re shopping in-store, be sure to take your student card with you and don’t be afraid to ask!
